Chocolate ”caramel” bites NO SUGAR

I have a total sweet tooth, especially in the evening when I may be watching TV I must eat something to curb my sugar//chocolate craving! The recipe is very quick & simple with only 5 easy ingredients. To get straight to the point, here is the recipe below, go ahead try it and enjoy….

250g Dates
100g Hard Organic 100% Coconut Oil
3tbsp Organic Honey (Or Agave sirop)
80g Puffed Rice Cereal//Rice Crispies
100g Dark Chocolate (70% or above)

Ingredients

Chop the dates down into tiny 1cm pieces, place in a small pot with the coconut oil and honey. Over a medium heat melt all 3 together and mix well, the texture will be stiff, sticky and doughy, there will also be a lot of excess oil – this is OK, the crispies will absorb this. Remove from heat then add the crispies slowly, mix together WELL until they are well coated.

Next pat the mixture into a flat shallow baking tray lined with baking paper.

Melt 100g of dark chocolate – be sure not to over heat as it will become hard. Smother the crispies with chocolate, let cool a little. Pop into the freezer for about 40 mins. Remove, cut in 1 inch cubes. Store in sealed container lined with paper.
